H-town...

I have been on a photography kick, as you know. In my hunt for a reception hall for the wedding, I have grabbed my camera, the lens, and my eye to capture Houston as I see it.

I have posted some of the pictures on Simplicity's photo-blog. Here's a sneak peak of the historic Houston Heights firestation at Yale and 12th. Vote:  With or without the splash of brick?

Next? A group of four friends and an urban attitude.  All captured by the lens. Stay tuned!

PS...I am LOVING having this photography bug...It's SO me.

Shopping is an addiction...

My new intermediate lens.

Now I just need a wide angle but I am saving up for a really nice one so I can take awesome pics at night.

Oh my gosh, someone else has my name...

What am I going to do???  It took me forever to come up with a name that just fit.

Simplicity is born...

It's a work in progress still...but here I go!

Many upgrades coming such as more galleries, a real domain, and who knows what else my "right side" dreams up!

My good friend, Karen, and I are going photo-shooting and I am SUPER pumped about it.

I guess it's time...

to finally be true to one of my million interests.  I buckled down and decided to get my act together on my photographer-ness.  It's a work in progress, but it is SO much fun.  I already have friends who are going to let me snap them, au natural of course.  Posed is out!  Natural is in!

If you know any couples, families, groups of friends, etc who would want their pictures taken (for free of course.  I am still learning, and it's fun for me!), send them my way.  Eventually, I plan to turn the photo-blog into a website.  For now, a blog it is.

Oh yeah...I have not named it yet because...well...a name hasn't come to me.  I was thinking of a word in Gujarati, Hindi, or Sanskrit that sounds "cool" for artistic, beauty, or something like that.  Any ideas?

I want to buy my sister's baby...

They eat, sleep, poop, fuss, eat again, sleep again, poop A LOT...but then they SMILE. And I coo like a crazy little girl as if babies just invented smiling. This is my new nephew, Clint, and there is a slight chance that Clint's new state of residence will be Texas. Jus' sayin'.

P.S. The title is a Friends reference, of course...silly, as if I would actually PAY for the baby...I would just take him.

Ma and Dada are going to spoil you rotten, Clint...(as will Mamtamasi...)
